As a black woman who has been working in mental health field for the past 8 years, I have a deep passion for guiding and uplifting other BIPOC social workers and clinicians, I am dedicated to creating an environment where you can thrive and grow. My approach is rooted in a blend of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, with a focus on practical application and personal growth.
With a wealth of experience working with individuals across the lifespan, primarily ages 15 and up, I’ve honed my skills in various roles. From case management to school social work, outpatient therapy, and my background in day treatment centers and domestic violence shelters, I bring a holistic and nuanced perspective to the field. This diverse experience has shaped my ability to meet clients where they are, providing the support and empathy needed to guide them through challenges.
In my supervision role, I aim to help you excel by providing the support, validation, and guidance that will empower you to succeed. Whether it’s helping you navigate clinical hours tracking, prepping for exams, or offering new therapy tools and techniques, I am committed to making your professional journey rewarding. I will also work with you on developing healthy boundaries—both for yourself and your clients—while maintaining self-care practices, ensuring you don’t burn out as you give to others.
My mission is to not only support you in your career but to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and emotional resilience to serve your clients with the utmost care and compassion. Let’s work together to ensure that you feel confident, supported, and prepared for success in the world of social work.
